Free Investing Courses

It is always nice to continue reading and learning about different investment ideas and strategies, particularly when it can be done for free. Over at Morningstar.com, they have an Investing Classroom where they offer free courses on investing.

Their courses cover just about everything you need to know, from the basics to advanced techniques. One really nice thing is that if you are pressed for time, you can still participate because the courses are short and can typically be completed in about 10-15 minutes.

Within their offering of 172 free courses, there are a few different tracks or curriculums. The topics of each track include stocks, bonds, funds and portfolio management. There are short quizzes included in the course that help to reinforce the things that you learn. As an added bonus, you accumulate credits toward great free gifts from their rewards catalog.

The Investing Classroom does require that you be a free, registered member of Morningstar.com but that is not a bad thing. Morningstar.com is a valuable resource and I use it regularly when comparing funds offered in my 401k plan.

Take advantage of these courses and sharpen your investing skills, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced investor I am sure you will find the courses valuable. Let me know which course is your favorite!

No problem Chris! I’ve found their classes/courses to be good quality and the best part is that they provide the information in small chunks so you can do it in short blocks of time.

Hope you find value in the courses and please come back and share your thoughts on your favorites.
