Making the Choice to Be a Loser

Awhile back I wrote a post about being in debt and being overweight, where I discussed my thoughts that there is a link to being in debt and overweight in that the characteristics required to battle both issues are quite similar.

In my life, I have had struggles with both issues as I have been in debt and am overweight. While I have been able to educate myself on the financial side of things and successfully eliminated my debt, I cannot say that I have been as successful with the weight. It is not that I don’t know what to do but that I always seem to find something else to do or an excuse for not doing what I know I should be doing.

Tonight the finale of The Biggest Loser aired on NBC and I have to admit that it was very inspiring to see the success that these people have accomplished. While I haven’t really seen much of this show until tonight, it is amazing to see the transformation that these people have taken. Does anyone know how long the contestants were working on losing weight? I haven’t seen yet how long of a time period it took but the winner, Erik, lost 214 pounds which is just amazing.

So while the focus of this site is about making the choice to eliminate debt and begin the journey to financial freedom, I have to admit that I am making an addition to My New Choice and that will be to eliminate the weight so I can conquer the complete relationship between debt and weight.

Please share your stories of success with me, whether they be related to debt or weight, as it always helps to hear how others have found success.
