From New York to the Carnival

The site has been quiet recently and I have to apologize for that but I just returned from a trip to New York City. Now that I am back from my travels, I wanted to mention that My New Choice will be hosting the next Carnival of Debt Reduction.

Please help make this Carnival a success by submitting an article on debt reduction.

With my recent trip, I thought I would offer one tip that seemed to save me quite a bit of money during my stay. Find a local grocery store or even a convenient or drug store and buy a few snacks and your preferred beverages. Rather than spending an insane amount of money for the same items out of the mini-bar or room service, you can buy these items yourself and enjoy the savings.

In my case, I was able to buy a 12-pack of Diet Coke and then I emptied out the mini-bar refrigerator and kept my drinks and snacks cold. Before checking out of the hotel, I put everything back in the mini-bar and saved a decent amount of money in the process.
