Site Maintenance

This afternoon I have been spending some time with some maintenance and upgrades to the items under the covers that are responsible for running this website. While I am doing my best to update everything in place without an impact to the website, there is the potential for problems to occur.
In addition to the maintenance and upgrade items, I am creating myself a development area where I can test changes to the look and feel of the site without impacting the live site. As I had mentioned in an earlier post, I have been thinking about changing up the layout of the site and this will let me do that a little more leisurely.
